A MESSAGE REGARDING YOUR ANNUAL TAX BILL

Tax bills will be mailed out on or before Wednesday August 16.
Please note that the third quarter (Q3) tax grace period is extended to
September 14, 2023.
Payment received after September 14, will accrue interest from the original due date of August 1st.

The Tax Collector’s office renders tax bills, receives and collects real estate taxes and associated fees; certifies tax searches, manages tax-foreclosed property; conducts tax sales on delinquent properties and assignment of liens. Tax sales are conducted once a year for both delinquent tax charges and Water & Sewer charges. The Tax Collector also provides a monthly tax collection report to the Mayor and Council.

The Borough participates in most statewide tax exemptions and deductions, which can be found on the State of New Jersey Division of Taxation’s website. NEW TAXPAYER PROGRAM: Taxpayers now have the ability to have Property Taxes and/or Water/Sewer Utility bills paid by using the banks Automated Clearing House (ACH) system. THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THS SERVICE. If interested, please complete this form: ACH Form and return with a VOIDED CHECK to the Tax Collector’s Office.

The Tax Assessor’s office is responsible for the valuation and assessment of all real property within Borough limits, calculates the Borough equalization rates and distributes an annual assessment statement to all Borough landowners. This department also certifies tax rates for the Borough to the county.
