Schools/ Attendance Areas


  Colts Neck High School - 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM-- Students from Colts Neck and other surrounding areas, including Manalapan and Marlboro.

  Freehold High School - 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM-- All students residing in Freehold Borough and those students residing in that portion of Freehold Township east of Rte. 9 and south of the Manalapan Township line to Rte 33, and those roads bordering Rte. 33 to the Howell Township line.

  Freehold Township High School - 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM-- All students residing in Freehold Township west of Rte 9 from the Manalapan Township line south to Rte. 33 and all students residing in Freehold Township south of Rte. 33. All students residing in Howell Township north and west of the certain boundary lines.

  Howell High School - 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM -- All students residing in Farmingdale Borough and all students residing in Howell Township with the exception of those areas indicated above.

  Manalapan High School - 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM -- All students residing in Englishtown Borough and Manalapan Township.

  Marlboro High School - 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM -- All students residing in Marlboro Township.

School Closings

Delayed Openings -- When deemed necessary, a two-hour delayed opening will also be announced on the radio stations. Special education students will be transported.  School activities may or may not be conducted.  The decision on activities will be made during the day of the delayed opening.

    A.M. vocational students will report to their home high schools and will not be transported to vocational school.  P.M. vocational students will be transported as usual.

Emergency closing of schools will be announced on the below radio stations. There will be no transportation provided to private, parochial or vocational schools when schools are closed.

    WHTG (1410 AM & 106.3 FM) - Eatontown

    WJLK (1310 AM & 94.3 FM) - Asbury Park

    There are four days built into the calendar for inclement weather and other emergencies.  In the event the district needs to make up more than 4 days due to emergency closings, the calandar will be modified to make up those days on holidays/recess days.

     In the event the district needs to make up a school  day after Martin Luther King Day, school will be opened on February 19, 2001, the Presidents' holiday, to address the minimum number of days.

    In the event the district needs to make up emergency closing days after Presidents' holiday, Spring recess will be used according to the following schedule:

    Make-up Day #1 ----- April 12, 2001

   Make-up Day #2 ------ April 11, 2001

  Make-up Day #3 ------  April 10, 2001

 Make-up Day #4 ------ April 9, 2001
